Facilities

The main CAO computing facility, located in the Department of Global Ecology, is comprised of a large multi-processor, multi-disk array that can process volumes of remotely sensed data on an automated basis. A secondary computing cluster is located at the Institute of Pacific Islands Forestry.

The CAO instruments are maintained in the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology on the campus of Stanford University and at the Institute of Pacific Islands Forestry (USFS) in Hilo, Hawaii.
