Operations

The CAO is maintained in the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology on the campus of Stanford University. CAO research and operations are also managed from Carnegie laboratories in Lima, Peru and Hilo, Hawaii.

The CAO computing facility, located at the Department of Global Ecology, is comprised of an array that can process large volumes of remotely sensed data. A secondary computing group is located at the Institute of Pacific Islands Forestry, Hilo, Hawaii.
